Folk ask me the same few things about refunds. Here they are, answered plainly, like advice on the first tee.
The short version, out of the wind
- Ask within 15 days of a book purchase for all your money back.
- The membership has 7 free days; cancel inside them and pay nothing.
- The first membership payment is covered by the 15 days.
- Cancelling happens at consumer.hotmart.com, not by unsubscribing.
Can I really get all my money back on a book?
Aye. Ask within 15 days of your purchase and you'll get all of it back. You'll not be asked for a reason.
Two books bought on two days? Each one gets its own 15 days.
What's the easiest way to ask for a refund?
Use the refund link in the purchase email from Hotmart.
Or log in at consumer.hotmart.com and open that purchase.
Or write to [email protected] and give me the email you bought with.
How soon does the money reach my account?
It returns to the same card or PayPal account. Banks usually show it within 5–10 business days.
Is anything charged if I stop during the free days?
No. Cancel during the 7 free days and nothing is charged at all.
Does the money-back guarantee apply to the membership?
For the first payment, yes. The 15-day money-back guarantee applies to that first membership payment.
How do I cancel, and do the letters stop straight away?
Cancel whenever you like at consumer.hotmart.com: open the membership, choose payment settings, and press cancel subscription. Or drop me a line and I'll help.
Letters keep coming until the end of the month already paid. Then no more charges. Months gone by aren't refunded.
What if I was charged after I meant to cancel?
Write to me within 15 days of that charge. Same if you were charged by mistake. I'll take a proper look.
Does unsubscribing from the letters stop the payments?
It doesn't. Unsubscribing stops the letters only. The membership payment carries on.
Payments only stop when you cancel at consumer.hotmart.com.
Is there anything to do once the 15 days have passed?
The guarantee window has closed by then. Even so, if something's wrong, write and tell me.
